United States in the Bible

(Dan. 11:32-33) 32And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.  33And they that understand among the people shall instruct many…”

What if I told you that the United States was mentioned in the Bible well over 2,000 years ago?  Does that interest anyone?  Well let’s take a look at Daniel 7.
(Daniel 7:1-7)  1 In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, Daniel had a dream, and visions passed through his mind as he was lying on his bed. He wrote down the substance of his dream.  2 Daniel said: "In my vision at night I looked, and there before me were the four winds of heaven churning up the great sea. 3 Four great beasts, each different from the others, came up out of the sea.  4 "The first was like a lion, and it had the wings of an eagle. I watched until its wings were torn off and it was lifted from the ground so that it stood on two feet like a man, and the heart of a man was given to it. 5 "And there before me was a second beast, which looked like a bear. It was raised up on one of its sides, and it had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. It was told, 'Get up and eat your fill of flesh!'   6 "After that, I looked, and there before me was another beast, one that looked like a leopard. And on its back it had four wings like those of a bird. This beast had four heads, and it was given authority to rule.  7 "After that, in my vision at night I looked, and there before me was a fourth beast—terrifying and frightening and very powerful. It had large iron teeth; it crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. It was different from all the former beasts, and it had ten horns. ”
Now if I stopped here and said that this proves the US most of you would say that I’m making some great leap to get to that point.  That’s part of the problem with prophecy preachers is they take one small section of scripture and make all kinds of hidden deep meanings. But if we read on just a little bit farther Daniel tells us exactly what the beast represent.  “ 15 "I, Daniel, was troubled in spirit, and the visions that passed through my mind disturbed me. 16 I approached one of those standing there and asked him the true meaning of all this.
"So he told me and gave me the interpretation of these things: 17 'The four great beasts are four kingdoms that will rise from the earth. 18 But the saints of the Most High will receive the kingdom and will
possess it forever—yes, for ever and ever.'”
So we know that the beast represent nations, and we know that the fourth beast represents something that has never existed.  Let’s look at one more text and tie all of this together.
Revelation 13
1And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.  2And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.  3And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
John the revelator sees a similar image to that of Daniel except that he describes the fourth beast from Daniels dream as being a merger of all the other beast.  We know that each beast represents a kingdom according to Daniel 7 and we know that the fourth beast exist during the reign of the antichrist. Therefore, it’s safe to say that these kingdoms have to exist during the endtime to be able to merge into this one beast.
If you were to Google the phrase national symbols you would find that there are several nations whose national emblem is the Lion. But notice that this particular lion had wings of an eagle growing from the back of it.  These wings were violently ripped from the Lion and made to stand up as a man. Does this sound like a familiar history story to anyone?  Scripture even takes it a step farther by saying it stood up as a man and had the heart of a man.  We know that our national emblem is the bald eagle, but what is our other well known emblem?  Uncle Sam!
I will adress the other beast in a later post.
